Schering-Plough
Cares helps low-income patients who do not have commercial prescription drug
insurance coverage. The program also helps low-income Medicare beneficiaries
who have spent 3% of their household income out of pocket to purchase their
prescription medications this year.
The program provides eligible patients with access to Schering-Plough allergy,
asthma, dermatology and cardiovascular prescription products (our cancer and
hepatitis drugs are available through the Commitment to Care program). Physicians,
patients or their advocates can call the Patient Assistance Program toll free
number or click on the link below for an application. The physician and patient
then jointly complete the application and return it for review and approval. If
approved, up to a three-month supply of the requested product is sent to the
physician to be dispensed to the patient in need. In 2007, the program
distributed pharmaceuticals free of charge to more than 60,000 patients.
